About
Fernweh is a German word. It comes from fern (meaning “far”) and weh (“pain,” “misery” or “woe”). Fernweh is a longing for far-off places.
About a decade ago, I was dealing with severe anxiety from my career. Over the years I found that I was able to re-direct that anxiety when I was focused on planning trips for my family and friends, or focusing on travel-hacking with credit card rewards in my spare time.
I recently stumbled across the German word "fernweh" and felt that was a good description of how I am feeling about travel. I was sold on travel the first time I stepped into the lobby of an all-inclusive resort and stared at the ocean. I realized that I can help others have that same experience and hope to share that experience with you.
If you have a "longing" for travel or far off places, I am here to help you plan your next trip or offer travel rewards advice and planning. Take a look around and reach out if you have any questions.
